River Forest Yachting Centers of Stuart, FL and Moore Haven, FL are specialty boat storage and service facilities providing discriminating boat owners with secure long-term boat storage and complete mechanical service solutions. RFYC is seeking a full-time Parts Associate to work at our Moore Haven, FL location.

Summary: The Parts Associate is the primary point of contact for members, guests, and technicians visiting River Forest Yachting Centers, our parts department and the Ship’s Store. Working collaboratively with marina staff, this position serves as a key operational resource to support parts management, retail sales, and yard support, while maintaining an exceptionally high level of customer service. This position reports directly to the Parts Supervisor. 

Essential Functions:

• Parts & Inventory Oversight: Oversee the Parts Department and team; organize shelf stock, assign inventory to designated bins, maintain an organized parts room, and manage returns for damaged or incorrect items. 
• Service & Operations Support: Assist technicians and customers in person or by phone; source, retrieve and order parts online or via phone as needed. 
• Vessel Data Intake: Gather critical vessel specifications upon arrival (e.g., zine requirements, bottom paint color, engine details) and accurately record the data in DockMaster and master logs.
• Billing & Work Orders: Charge out parts and materials to correct work orders and jobs; ensure all parts and subcontractor invoices are entered, processed, and submitted to Accounts Payable promptly. 
• Vendor & Compliance Management: Verify all vendor contracts, certifications, and certificate of insurance (COI) are up-to-date; issue updated tax-exemption forms to vendors annually. 
• Tracking & Reporting: Maintain and update arrival/departure schedules and the Parts ETA tracking board, compile and submit expense reports in a timely manner. 
• Administrative & Software Proficiency: Efficiently utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and marine management software to handle daily tasks; keep the office and workspace clean and organized. 
• Adaptability: Perform additional duties as assigned; roles and responsibilities may evolve over time based on operational needs.

• Security & Confidentiality: Ability to protect facility property and safeguard confidential member information and proprietary marina data. 
• Vessel Operation: Ability to safely operate boats as required by yard operators. 
• Flexibility: Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude, fulfilling additional operational duties as directed by Management. 

Qualifications: 

• Service Excellence: Proven ability to deliver a premium customer service experience for members and clientele. 
• Scheduling & Availability: Willingness to work a five-day workweek with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require. 
• Professional Standards: Professional appearance, demeanor, and strong interpersonal skills when communicating wit members, guests, and team members.
• Operational Capabilities: Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team. 
• Technical Maintenance: Capability to perform basic maintenance functions to help keep marina equipment operable and in good working order. 

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, and remain standing at their post for extended periods of time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
